Day 1- Chandigarh- dehradun- Ukhimath- Ransi village. (Journey)
We started our journey from Chandigarh. Reaching ukhimath from Chandigarh a whole day travel journey is required. The route I already mentioned above. In Uttarakhand, there are limited buses to travel all over the Uttarakhand. Majorly the buses start early in the morning so better to take a bus between 5-7 AM. There are sharing taxis also available. We took a bus from Dehradun to Rudraprayag then took a bus for Ukhimath. From ukhimath bus frequency is not too much reach the Ransi village. If you reach around 4-5 PM then maybe a chance of bus availability to reach Ransi village. We took a sharing cab to Ransi village. Reached village around 7:30 PM and staying there at night.Â
Day 2- Ransi Village to Madhyamaheshwar Temple Trek.
We started our trek from Ransi village. The distance to reach the temple is 18 Kms. This is an unexplored one so not many people you find during the trek so must travel with 2-3 people. There are also options of stays in between the trek depends upon your speed you can stay accordingly. The trek is beautiful and peaceful. We started our journey around 8 AM just had tea in the morning and biscuits. There is a village in the trek Goundar we had our breakfast around 6 km from Ransi Village the best part its downhill trek till the village and it will take 1.5 hours to reach that Village. After spending 1 hour we started our trek further to the temple. There are not so many facilities like other Pilgrimage locations. This is a tough one for first-time trekkers because the trail is steep. The beautiful mountains are in front f us during the trek. We carry some snacks in between the trek. Finally, we reached the temple on Aarti time. Feeling amazing for every Shiv devotee. We attend the Aarti and the Temple is amazing, finally, I reached the Shiva’s one of the beautiful places. There are homestays and guest houses there for night stays with a very nominal price. It was cold out there because in the mountains cold at the night. We took some shots of the temple and had dinner there. It’s a long 18 km trek we covered in a single day but you can stay in between the trek. There are options to stay depending upon your speed.
Madhyamaheshwar Temple
Day 3- Madhyamheshwar to buddha Madhyamaheshwar & Trek down to Goundar village.
We woke up early in the morning because want to trek further for Buddha Madhyamaheshwar. There is a beautiful meadow and the view of great Mount Chaukhmba will front of us that beauty wants to see. The Budha Madhya Maheshwar Temple is at 3800 meters and will take 1 hour to reach the temple from Madhya Maheshwar. Carry a water bottle during the trek because it’s a steep hike. Finally, we reached the temple the location is heaven and Mt. Chaukhamba is in front of us. The view is incredible. We capture lots of shots there, spend almost 1 hour, and came to the Madhya Maheshwar. Now time to return to the Ransi village. From yesterday to today’s trek it’s a very hectic schedule. We decided to stay at Goundar village and take some rest will go further to the Ransi village the next day. There are lots of stays option in goundar Village. Easily find a stay for the night.
